Jewellery isn’t for everyone, and having this amount of ashes on show isn’t for everyone either. This was a custom request for a paperweight style piece with added gold flakes.

This style of piece can be made with even just a small amount of ashes and the remaining resin can be left clear, coloured or have added gold/silver flakes .

I can’t believe it’s been a year since I made this ring, it really has to be one of the prettiest rings I’ve ever made.

A hidden ashes ring set with a blue topaz heart, and two zirconia’s on the shoulders. I even managed to get a tiny handprint engraved on the inside of the band.

About Me

This Dad Made That was founded in 2020, after the loss of our son Henry in 2017 I turned my hand to an immense amount of design and craft. I started experimenting with resin in May 2020 after I had started to sell masks through Esty.

After a few months I turned my hand to jewellery making and I'd made my first resin inlay ring which contained my sons ashes.

Since sharing my journey through Instagram and Facebook I have been able to create so many special pieces of others that have lost someone so special to them.
